in second half was much different , they soon found themselfs drawing
but an great goal from Johnson found Madrid on top again , soon after Real Valladolid conceded an (from my view , an unfair penalty) penalty, which Van Persie scored ,Just too high for the keeper

Well played mate.

I had 5 shots on goal and scored 4 i need to play to my teams strength and this win makes it 13 points out of 15. Maybe i didn't deserve to win by that many but i put my chances away. I was expecting a hammering so im very happy. Bosic you are a good player and you just caught me on my lucky day. Well played mate. And im in shock too mate i would of been happy with a draw.

Surprisingly Corominas from Sporting Gijon scored in the 27th minute to put the underdogs in front, creating chances and taking shots as well as catching barcalona out on the counter, however Barca, as you would expect, kept on at it and perseverd as well as crossing som beauitful corsses into the box and whose strike force was a impossible task to handle. Rooney finally equalised in the dying seconds of the match to snatch away the three points from Sporting Gijon.

Statement from Sporting Gijon manager:

"I am very pleased with the team,and am very proud at how they managed to play against barcalona without being absolutely hammered, we are still trying to find the winning formula, switching players around and such, but i am glad to see goals being scored, not only in our 3-1 defeat but today against without a doubt one of the best clubs in Europe. one of the best matches ive played in this leaue so far, proper tense and plenty of chances, i was so lucky not to have lost in in the dying seconds when nihat nearly headed it in, cant wait for the away match mate!! Sporting Gijon took the lead and then doubled it within the first 23 mins, then Recreativo Huelva fought back, catching Sporting Gijons defence out with crosses and overhead through balls to feed Cisse and Nihat the space and opportunity to score. Which they did, equalising in the second half and nearly snatching the win for themselves had it not have been for Sporting Gijons defensive resiliance. Does this mean Sporting Gijons fortunes are changing?

Sporting Gijon had a better start to the game, scoring two quick goals within the first 25 minutes. As the game drew on though, Gijon became more and more reliant on counterattacks as they found themselves under pressure.

It only took Nihat 9 minutes to get one back from a lovely curler. On the 70th min Cuellar made an absolutely world class reaction save from a Nihat header from point blank range, and chronicwombat was fearing the worst again. Recreativo eventually scored though, in the 74th min through Cisse to level the scores.

The last few minutes saw Recreativo press into the Gijon third, and saw Gijon continue to threaten from counterattacks - much like most of the game. After the game a couple of fans from each team were overheard agreeing that it was a fair result in the end.

Sportings good run was ended today in a match that couldda have been gona either way especially in the first half with both teams attackin aggressivelly. Sportings talisma broke clear in the first half twice only to be foiled by the woodwork. within seconds on the other side espanyol broke clear with F.Caicedo who was foiled by the keeper but only for the ball to fall back to him and slot home the visitors first goal. in the second half the home team got some heat from the manager but didnt put it into action as the espanyol defence proved priceless. Espanyol got into another gear and punished sporting for the lack of experienced players at the back and run a riot to finish 4-0 to the visitors.

"A dodged bullet", down 2-1 at the 80 min started a crazy comeback by the so called "Cardiac Kids" meaning Heart attack kids, after a sniper shots from raul and rebound goal from Gattuso. Its insanity and agression by Malaga to tie it up with some crazy saves by pato but to no avail. Villarreal keeps its hostage on the rest of the league including second place Sevilla which is three points away from them at the point."I've said it before and I said it again, My team will keep this lead, I feel like we have a team to win a Championship at this point, I know we have Real Madrid coming up but this team has done alot to get the job done before and we will have to do it again... And I know we will and will be ready for anything..."
