Game Description
With both teams looking for the three points, it looked like it was Bologna's day when three goals, all by luck seemed to have stunned the Catania team and left them with their pockets empty.

The match kicked off as the home team got straight into action with a second minute goal. It was scored by M. Marazzina when he got given the ball from one-two passing and a slip-up tackle by the Catania defence which allowed an easy tap-in by the Bologna striker.
Throughout the first half it was F. Antonioli, the Bologna goal keeper who had kept Catania away from scoring. Making some divine saves which at some times looked more like divine intervension.
Carrying on into the second half yet more saves from the Bologna's keeper denied access to a goal from Catania. So far Catania looked the stronger team but couldn't finish most of their chances. A late second goal, this time by Adailton secured the three points for Bolonga. The goal was by far the luckiest goal in Adailton's history with the club. It was scored with M. Marrazzina's pass from the edge of the box (Closest part towards corner flag), when he was surrounded by three players. The pass went through two of the Catania defence and then the keeper missed the grab for it and it went outside of the box to Adailton. Adailton hit it with not much power and yet it managed to beat one last defender as it went in to an open net. Beating 7 people in one quick move shocked Catania and ended their dreams of a dream start to kick off the season.
Still thinking positive Catania tried to pull off a move from the kick-off but had been intercepted and S. Volpi knocked in the third for Bolonga. Volpi scored a half decent goal inside the Catania's 18-yard box. Catania's pain was quickly exposed as the final 15 minutes went completely towards Bologna's favour. Bologna dominated the final ferlong but couldn't break the Catania defence one last time.

A good match for Bologna. Although they didn't seem up to par in the first half, they took the most of their chances.
F. Antonioli, the Bologna goal keeper had successfully held the Catania team goal less through the first half. He struggled at times but proved to be a good keep for the Bolonga team. Knowing he was on the verge of being re-placed and sold, F. Antonioli proved to the Bolonga manager that it was a good thing that they kept him and chose to play him now the transfer window has shut.
The second half didn't bother F. Antonioli much with a few shots being aimed towards him. The final 15 minuets saw not one shot coming towards him and he had an easy ride for the final few minutes.

A good game won by Bologna and a well deserved Man of the Match award for the Bologna keeper.

Game Description:
A very close game which included end-to-end action throughout the entire match. With the first 19 minutes edging greatly towards Atalanta's favour with many oppurtunities denied by F. Antonioli (Bologna's Goal Keeper). Just as Atalanta was denied a goal by Bologna's keeper, the Bologna strike team quickly carried the ball up to the Atalanta's half of the field. Going on a quick break-away it looked like Bologna was going to score with one man to beat but got denied access into the box as a wonderful defencesive tackle by an Atalanta player. All of a sudden as the man passes the ball out, he passes it straight to Adailton for Bologna and he rushes inside the box to get a quick tap-in goal.
End-to-end stuff the entire match and as the second half was in its last 20 minutes both teams were nervous. A slip up by any team could cost them dearly. C. Doni for Atalanta quickly knocked in a goal just behind the penalty area to shatter the hopes for the three points Bologna were hoping for. With hearts racing Bologna took the kick off and successfully did one-two passing the whole way up to the Atalanta defence when a lob shot is denied by Atalanta's goal keeper. As the ball comes down from the sky it is met by Bologna's M. Di Vajo's head and knocked in to put Bologna back infront for the three point victory.
Atalanta looked to come back strong with yet another fine save from F. Antonioli which denied them once again a goal. F. Antonioli definetely saved Bologna from losing the three point lead and just as we got back to action it seemed that a fourth goal in the match had been scored. N. Mingazzini scored the crucial goal for Bologna as they go 3-1 up. This looked like clear victory now for Bologna. A magnificent finale goal to decide a magnificent match. N. Mingazzini's sucker punch goal flew from 20 yards into the top-left corner of the Atalanta net and ended there dreams of scratching up some points.
An excellent game with both teams deserving something. Although it was a 3-1 victory, the game could have gone to anybody and it seemed to have favoured Bologna with F. Antonioli (Bologna's Goal Keeper) making some crucial saves at crucial moments.

Game Description

The game kicks off and the first shot goes to Bologna as a should-of-been goal is deflected with a miraculous save by the Udinese keeper. Seeing a quick break, the Udinese team make their presence known with a quick attack and nearly score with an oustanding shot in the fifth minute. With both teams holding possesion as much as they can, Bologna find a gap in the Udinese and M. Marazzina quickly tries to weave through as he is sandwhiched inbetween two Udinese defenders and he falls to the ground holding his legs. No fail was given in the 10th minute as M. Marazzina went down but just as the Bologna manager was about to sub M. Marazzina off but their attention was blown away when the play stopped suddenly to see if M. Marazzina was ok when the ball rolled into the line of Adailton for the Bologna team. Adailton quickly made most of his chance and run into the 18 yard box and netted the first goal of the match. With non-stop action from both sides it was quite clear that both teams were giving it their all. Both teams were holding tight until Bologna recieved a frightfull glimpse of conceding a goal. One of the Udinese striker's managed to do a quick one-two pass maneuver and out-played the Bologna defence. The quick skill and thinking of the strikers gave Udinese the chance they was hoping for and one of the strikers was one-on-one with the Bologna keeper. The Bologna defence rushed back to seize the ball but were too late, the shot had already been struck. The Bologna manager, along with his team had their heads into their hands as they thought they had been scored against. The shot had beaten the keeper.
Opening their eyes they see that the shot had not been a successful one and the referee gave the goal kick. Cheers all-around the Bologna team and bench as they thanked somebody up high that they were still infront on the scoreline. F. Anontioli, the Bologna goal keeper booted the ball out as play began. The ball landed directly to the feet of M. Marazzina. Still limping from the injury he had recieved quickly passed the ball to the winger but quickly recieved it back at the 18 yard box. M. Marazzina made the most of his oppurtunity and struck the ball with such force that the Udinese goal keeper couldn't see where it was going and dived to the bottom right. The ball, going so fast had been placed directly down the middle and sunk into the back of the net just missing the crossbar. M. Marazzina's goal had the Bologna team cheering once more only a minute ago they thought they was drawing with Udinese. The 44th minute goal had left the Bologna the clear favourites to win the match as the half time whistle is called.
As the second half begins both teams come out with their heads up high and the Udinese team, although two goals down begin to come out and show what they're made of. Putting the pressure on to the Bologna team, J. Bullard gets a well deserved goal for the Udinese team as the game has now re-opened to anybodies game. A few good shots from both teams, mainly the Udinese team which misses out on yet another one-on-one. As the game counts nearer to the end, both teams go on full attack and try to secure more names on to the score sheet. Udinese miss another good oputunity which had been some how parried away by F. Antonioli for Bologna. The final two minutes of the game and the Bologna team switch to all out defensive positions as F. Antonioli recieves the ball for a goal kick. Not wishing to pass out as the Udinese strike team rush to the goal line, F. Antonioli releases the ball into the Udinese half of the field and the ball is met by a Udinese player. The Udinese team go on one last attack and countless ammount of tackles by the Bologna team slowly affect the Udinese team as two of their men are struck down by shocking tackles. The referee signals play on and a mis-timed pass into the Bologna's 18 yard box is cleared away by a defender and the referee blows the final whistle and gives teh three points to the Bologna team.


Match Conclusion

The Bologna team managed a total of 4 shots during the game with all 4 on target. Netting in half of their shots and securing the win with two good goals.
The Udinese team had a total of 9 shots with only 4 on target. Unlike Bologna they didn't finish their chances although they deserved a goal or two more.
The possesion was even at 50/50 and both teams proved that they both had the heart to win. Although the Udinese team didn't win, they did deserve a point and was snatched it along with the two other points as the Bologna team left the stadium shocked that they went home with all three points.

roma had more chances in the first half, but a red card early in the second half swung the game completely. was a great game from both sides.

a very open and end to end match with plenty of chances, Palermo mannaged to hit the back of the net with enougth of there chances to get the 3 points today, Miccoli managing to get his first hat-trick of the season and hopefully there will be more to follow.

After rrSvdm tried claiming 2 illegitimet results a 3-3 and a 4-1, we played and after going 1 goal down I hardly played. I was pissed off too much that he'd already try claiming two false results and I fought for nothing when going 1 nil down. I quit on the 90th min as the whistle sounded which doesn't count as a quit as the whitle was blown.

i thought ur first goal was offside cos my defender was on the line of the box and ur player was in so i got annoyed then gave away a pen lol silly thing to do then i got one back started playing good and some american kept joining and leaving my chat made me lag hardcore then u scored another 2 i gave up after tht good game.

One of the best games we played at this point of the season, I was worried about that Bravo goal at the end of the half, but we kept attacking and right now, we are looking like one of the best attacks in Serie A. Now if defense keeps going with the great effort shown today, were gonna be ok.

GG m8 the first half was a weak fiorentina i just woke up in real life sow i'm not at my best but there was 1 goal of mutu in the scond half we saw 2 team fighting for the points but fiorentina with more chanches then lecce and maked it 3-0 and fiorentina also hit 3 times the wood work and not to forget lecce didn't score 1time 1on 1 against my goalkeeper frey he was keeping his goal clean good luck in the rest of season
